Remote (Canada) | US Pacific preferred (Central/Eastern considered)
Position overview:
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead end-to-end readiness planning, enablement programs, and content execution for a strategic Microsoft client engagement. This role is embedded directly within the client team as a contractor/vendor resource and drives cross-functional coordination, schedules and workbacks, stakeholder communications, and content management to ensure launches and readiness milestones land on time and with high quality.
The successful candidate is a strong project/program manager with senior presence and polish—able to operate confidently in a large enterprise environment, interact with senior stakeholders, and represent our company well. You are a reliable executor who can manage priorities without heavy oversight, communicate directly and transparently, and proactively surface risks, blockers, and recommendations early. You will build trusted client relationships, synthesize inputs from multiple teams, and produce thoughtful, stakeholder-ready deliverables (including written content, FAQs, and slide decks) with high attention to detail.
Candidates must be eligible to onboard as a Microsoft vendor (V-dash) within a Microsoft managed service engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary program/project management lead, partnering directly with Microsoft client stakeholders and internal delivery teams to align priorities, scope, and expectations.
- Build strong client relationships through proactive, direct communication and crisp status reporting across multiple workstreams; surface risks, blockers, and recommendations early and transparently.
- Own readiness scheduling and detailed workbacks for content, reviews, and launch milestones; manage dependencies, track risks/mitigations, and drive issues to resolution with an ownership mindset.
- Drive cross-team collaboration and orchestration across stakeholders (client teams, internal teams, and partners), ensuring timely inputs and decisions.
- Consolidate feedback, questions, and change requests; manage content intake and updates to keep materials current and aligned to stakeholder needs.
- Create and/or coordinate production of program communications and content deliverables (written docs, FAQs, and slide decks) in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Run planning and execution rhythms (standups/check-ins), and ensure readiness activities and launches are delivered on time and with high quality.
- Maintain program documentation (plans, workbacks, decision logs) with high attention to detail; continuously improve processes to increase clarity, predictability, and speed while maintaining high quality standards.
- Support engagement planning as needed, including effort estimates, schedules, and inputs to statements of work.
Skills & qualifications:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of project/program management experience, ideally supporting readiness, launches, or content-heavy initiatives.
- Previous Microsoft experience is required (vendor/partner preferred), with the ability to quickly navigate teams, tools, and operating rhythms.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); able to produce clear content such as docs, FAQs, and slide decks (native/advanced English required).
- Strong client-facing presence with senior polish; warm, professional relationship-builder who can earn trust quickly and operate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-team collaboration, consolidate inputs, and drive decisions to closure.
- Ownership mentality and initiative: naturally takes action, solves problems, and drives work forward rather than waiting for direction.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, timelines, and dependencies.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to navigate changing priorities and stakeholder dynamics smoothly.
- Quality-focused and detail-oriented: produces thoughtful, polished work products and maintains a high bar for accuracy and stakeholder readiness.
- Comfortable with project management tools and structured planning (workbacks, milestone tracking, action/risk management); agile experience is a plus.
- Ability to synthesize complex feedback and information into concise updates and actionable plans.
- Ability to work US Pacific hours (Central/Eastern considered) and coordinate across time zones as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Additional desirable experience:
- Experience with Microsoft licensing and/or contracting topics (e.g., New Commerce) is highly desirable.
- Strong writing capability is a plus (not a requirement)—someone who can draft, edit, and polish clear stakeholder-ready communications such as FAQs, announcements, and executive-friendly updates.
