Inviso engages closely with Microsoft to support the customer cloud journey across segments and industries, supporting Microsoft Cloud adoption by bringing together a data driven understanding of customers’ current IT infrastructure, aligning to business priorities and objectives, and providing subject matter expertise in Microsoft technologies and services. These pillars together help customers understand their current state and develop cloud adoption strategies, extending their capabilities & empowering their organizations.

The Solution Assessment Consultant role within Microsoft’s US Technology & Services Center fills a key function within the US Solution Assessment organization, engaging with Microsoft end-customers to guide and support use of server infrastructure and application analysis tooling, empowering customers to better understand & manage their current infrastructures, unlocking their ability to optimize the current estate, and providing a common foundation of data to enable Microsoft and Customer to collaborate in strategic cloud adoption planning.

Our Solution Assessment Consultants are the front line, engaging with customers, and as such communication skills and attention to detail are key. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong technical acumen, project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of a customer organization (from IT staff to project managers to business decision makers) as well as Microsoft’s internal teams. Successful applicants will demonstrate a diversity of IT systems & admin knowledge enabling them to guide customers in the implementation of solutions such as Dr Migrate.

Applicants must be eligible to onboard as a Microsoft vendor (v-dash) in a Managed Service (without 6-month break).

Required experience

  • 1-2 years as a professional in an IT service/support role, with a desire to leverage those skills in an analytic capacity.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud services and administration
  • Networking and Administration for Windows / Windows Server OS and Linux; PowerShell; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP; Virtualization Technologies (ex., VMware & Hyper-V)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a queue of projects concurrently – project & time management, coordination, status updates, etc.

Additional desirable experience:

  • Prior experience with Azure Migrate, Doctor Migrate, or with other administrative and assessment tools such as ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Cloudamize, Movere, Block64, etc. will be a strong differentiator
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Other Non-Microsoft Technologies: Oracle database, RHEL (or other Linux) administration.
  • Comfort interpreting and presenting data insights to leadership teams.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish (but not required)

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is between $65,000 up to $95,000 annually. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training, as well as Inviso’s differing lines of business. In addition to the base pay, Inviso provides access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, annual training reimbursement, paid time off, and paid holidays, among other benefits.
