We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to support our clients through the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working as a consultant or within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, with proven success in delivering secure, scalable solutions aligned with the Microsoft Zero Trust Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 implementations, migrations, and modernization projects.
- Assess customer environments and design secure Microsoft 365 solutions that align with Zero Trust principles.
- Implement and support services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender for 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Purview.
- Support identity and access management strategies, including Conditional Access, MFA, role-based access control (RBAC), and hybrid identity scenarios.
- Monitor and manage Microsoft 365 environments using compliance center, security center, and other M365 admin tools.
- Conduct governance assessments and implement governance frameworks for Microsoft 365 tenants.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to integrate Microsoft 365 with broader cloud and on-prem environments.
- Stay up to date on Microsoft 365 roadmap, changes, and best practices, proactively communicating impacts and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Provide documentation, training, and support to internal teams and customers.
- Maintain backlog of work items in Azure DevOps.
- Ensure the customer environment is secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Document cloud architecture, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance needs.
- Respond to Incidents and support tickets.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new services and approaches to enhance productivity and business value.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and technical workshops.
- Maintain >= 85% billable utilization target.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a consulting or MSP role.
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365, including modern workplace architecture, security, compliance, and automation.
- Experience implementing security and governance features across Microsoft 365 aligned with Microsoft Zero Trust Framework.
- Strong understanding of identity and security controls in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 licensing models and tenant-level configurations.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Strong documentation and project management discipline
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and collaborative mindset.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Sentinel, and Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Microsoft certifications preferred (SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator, MD-102: Endpoint Administrator)
